secMail

Sending with limits for every type of mail. Suspicious accounts are held.

One compromised account can cost your domain its reputation overnight. secMail sets limits for each type of mail and holds whoever exceeds them.

Sender classes

Every type of mail has its own limits.

Assignment

A class applies to accounts, source networks, sender addresses or domains.

Quotas

Recipients and size per message, messages and recipients per hour.

Own outbound address

Circulars do not share their reputation with everyday mail.

Sending network and reputation

Your mail has more than one way out.

secMail sends through several IP addresses. We see, per address and receiving provider, how your mail is accepted, and switch when a provider slows it down.

Sending and reputation: one address is deferred at Microsoft, and its class can be rerouted. Demo data, German interface.

Separate addresses

Everyday mail, circulars and automated mail leave through their own addresses. A problem with one type does not affect the others. IP addresses for your organisation alone are available on request.

Reroute instead of waiting

If a provider defers or blocks an address, we move only the affected sender class to another one. The waiting mail is requeued and leaves through the new address.

Monitoring per provider

For each address you see whether mail to Microsoft, Gmail and others flows, how much gets through per hour and how much has been waiting since when. We also check the addresses against public blocklists. For your own mail servers, secMonitor does the same.

Warm-up

A new address starts with little mail and increases the volume over several days. Large providers distrust addresses that send a lot straight away.

Held outbound mail

A suspicious account is held.

You see which limit applied and release or discard the messages. If the account has been taken over, you lock it in the same place.

Message tracking and proof

What happened to a message can be proven.

Message tracking shows each message’s path to delivery or bounce.

Frequently asked questions

What IT teams ask.

Why do our emails end up in spam at the large providers?

Usually SPF, DKIM or DMARC is missing, or the sending address has a poor reputation. secMail shows both. More in our guides Emails going to spam and Checking a mail server against blocklists.

What happens if an account is hacked?

If it exceeds its class’s limits, its sending is held. All other accounts keep sending.

Can we send circulars and newsletters through it?

Yes, with their own sender class, limits and outbound address.
